Today we visited a very small little diner close to where we were staying.
The outside was a little underwhelming. We weren’t quite sure we should go in.
But we were pleasantly surprised!
The food brings up thoughts of backyard bbq’s and the service was extremely friendly!
So glad we stayed!
Here’s what we ordered:
But we learned the real specialty of this diner is the chili! Chili dogs, chili fries, chili burgers. All served with fresh onions and loads of cheese.
Here’s the recipe for their famous chili!
2lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
2 6oz cans tomato sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1tsp each – salt & pepper
1 large can kidney beans
2 pckgs chili seasoning
Simmer for 2 hours. Pour on top of hot dogs, fries, or burgers. Top with cheddar and diced onion.
Stop in if you’re in the area! You won’t be sorry.
Until then, enjoy a little of our travels in your home. Bon appetit!
